Phil Tyreman
Producer | Engineer | Mixer
After completing his degree at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in 1999, Phil started at the world famous SARM Studios. In 2004 he became an in-house engineer at Whitfield Street Studios and it was during this time he gained a reputation as a talented recording and mix engineer. It was here that he mastered his knowledge of working in both the analogue and digital domains. The experience gained from working alongside producers and engineers such as Robin Millar, Rick Nowels, Steve Fitzmaurice and Roy Thomas Baker has allowed him to develop the skills and knowledge which help to create efficient, creative and smooth running sessions. Phil's traditional training in the studio system shines through in his ability and attitude in his freelance work.

Moving into the world of producing in 2007, he has been working with up and coming artists such as The Medicine, Slashed Seat Affair and The Rebs. On these projects he demonstrated that low budget does not mean compromising on quality – Culturedeluxe's Nick Foster on Slashed Seat Affair “…[the sort of] quality usually reserved for bands that have unlimited funding through a major”.

Phil’s calm matter-of-fact manner combined with his flare for guiding artists to their pinnacle makes him one of the most interesting new producers around.
